BYOD tip for students who can’t BYOD

I you want to use BYOD in your classroom and a student doesn’t have a wireless device, try to acquire an old smart phone.  The cell service does not have to be active for a smart phone to use apps.  It needs a wireless connection.  An old iPhone can access iTunes via the wireless network to download apps.  In many cases they do not need wireless access for the app to work.  Of course an iPod or iPod Touch will do the same thing.  An Android smart phone can access Google Play via wireless connection to download apps.

If anyone asks where you heard this just tell them iTold you so (couldn’t resist!).
